Job Description

Reporting to: Senior Legal Officer

(a)    Duties and Responsibilities

 Duties and responsibilities will be to:-

 

i)                 Prepare and reviewing legal documents/instruments;

ii)               Prepare legal opinions and briefs;

iii)             Draft legal documents, leases and contracts;

iv)              Undertake research on specific legal areas;

v)               Identify issues and areas for legal policy formulation and  review;

vi)              ensure compliance with the Anti-Doping Policy, legal requirements and  provisions in all the undertake of the Agency;

vii)            Handle doping cases before the Sports Disputes Tribunal; and

viii)          Handle whereabouts failure cases.

Job Specification

(b)    Requirements for Appointment

 For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -

 

i)                 Have Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution;

ii)               Have Diploma in Law from the Council of Legal Education;

iii)             Be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;

iv)              Be a member of the Law Society of Kenya

v)               Have a valid Practicing Certificate;

vi)              Have at least three (3) years post admissions experience in litigation;

vii)            Proficiency in use of computer applications.

  • Kenya Revenue Authority - (Valid Tax compliance certificate).
  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations - (Certificate of good conduct)
  • Higher Education Loans Board - (Compliance certificate, where applicable)
  • Ethics and Anti – Corruption Commission - (Self-Declaration form)
  • Credit Reference Bureau - (Certificate of clearance or credit report)
